The family drama that has been going on in the Beckham household has taken a new turn and Brooklyn Beckham seems to be winning. Just a few days ago, Brooklyn posted a long message on social media claiming that her mother, Victoria Beckham, “hijacked” her wedding. He also claimed that his mother danced “inappropriately,” and now, the wedding DJ has spoken out about the incident.
While speaking to ITV’s This Morning, DJ Tony Marnoch revealed crucial details from the wedding day, corroborating much of what Brooklyn accused his mother of. Recalling the alleged first dance, Tony said that “the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.” He clarified by saying that there was “no bathing, no black cat PVC catsuits and no Spice Girl action.”

He said singer Marc Anthony, who is a close family friend, came on stage to perform and that he called Brooklyn to join him. Anthony then invited the “most beautiful woman in the room” to dance with Brooklyn. “The next minute, everyone was expecting Nicola to come up and do the first dance,” Tony said. But Anthony shouted Victoria’s name and, according to Tony, this led to Nicola leaving the room crying.
He added: “Victoria is on stage; she goes on stage and, of course, at that moment Brooklyn is suddenly, literally, devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Then Nicola comes out of the room crying. Brooklyn is stuck on stage. And then they do this dance, and Marc Anthony says, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips.’ It was a Latin thing. “The whole situation was very awkward for everyone in the room.”
While this story matches Brooklyn’s recollection of the events, it differs from other reports that emerged from the wedding. According to British Vogue’s report on the wedding, Nicola and Brooklyn had already danced for the first time, and it was Brooklyn who invited her mother on stage. Tony added that it’s pretty “sad” that people only focused on this part of Brooklyn’s entire statement and how he “just wanted to change the narrative.”
Prior to this, Brooklyn had sent her parents a legal notice asking them to only maintain contact through lawyers. Even though father David Beckham is still trying to patch things up, Brooklyn has made it clear that she has no desire to reconcile with her parents.
